Honestly? When it gets that hot here I walk around with a squirt bottle. I call it the redneck A.C.

It works. Just squirt your face every 20 minutes or so.

No idea how you handle 90 degree heat! that’s just insane! That happened to my boyfriend a few weeks ago and I just couldn’t handle the sweat and heat and icky feeling so I went to my parents for a few days until it was fixed =)

I’m with EP. Get the landlord in to fix it ASAP.

Time to spend your days at the local library where it’s nice & air-conditioned and you don’t have to feel guilty about not buying anything.

Also – is there a window where you can mount a large fan? It might suck in the cool air/suck out the hot air.

100 degree?! I would have melted a long time ago. The only thing I can think of is going to see movie (movie theaters are always super cold) or hanging out at Barnes and Noble for a while… I was there yesterday and it was pretty chilly inside. Sorry, I’m a total East Coaster, but I hope it helps.

I don’t have any tips, unfortunately. I was never the type to actually fix household issues like that. My other roommate was — she was the house husband. But I just wanted to say that if I were in your position, I would be speaking to the landlord ASAP and figuring out a plan because a 90 degree home? NOT COOL.

Oh, we’ve had many a discussion about it. The only problem is that I’m very proactive and he’s very slow to getting around to doing things unless I constantly pester him. Which I do all the time, but he can’t exactly tear open the walls and insulate the place while I’m living in it. Sigh…
